Pellet stove? I am thinking of buying one and would like to know?

about how much does it cost to run. My house is about 1800 sq ft one story. And would you recommend buying one?

We have one and we saved about $400 last winter, if you buy pellets in bulk about 4 pallets worth they will usually give you a discount..

pellets 2/3 price of oil in maine. got 1 myself. sweet thing is u can cool the rest of house & hang near hot stove. feels great & saves $. they run autmatic with pushofabutton! dont need chimney but should have little chimney rise to deal with power outage.they are safe & use domestic energy instead of imported=more local industry. some burn corn & pellets but cost more. highly reccomend…..chirp!

they are popular in maine as they are very clean. most run about the size you want to heat 1800 square feet. pellets are cheper by the ton but can be bought in 40 lb bags which are cleaner around the house. also remember you can burn shelled corn in them too.
