How to sell a car in California?

I have a ‘94 Ford Taurus Wagon. I lost the title, but I have the “application for a Duplicate Title” which is apparently the same form you use to transfer a title if you HAVE a duplicate title. I also have the “Notice of transfer and Release of Liability” form.

Do I have to turn in the “Application for Duplicate Title” before I list my car for sale?
Also, what else do I need to do?

I was wondering where I would go to turn someone in for false statment on a Bill of Sale?

I bought a car from this guy in Texas. On the Bill of Sale the guy put down that I traded in a vehicle which I didnt. He had written down the VIN number and all the information for the vehicle that I suppossedly traded in. I had paid 6890 for the car. The bill of Sale said I paid $6999 and he wrote I traded in for $6599. So I would only have to pay taxes on the difference. I told him I didnt want him to do that but he insisted so when I went to pay the sales tax I ended having to pay tax on the $6999. He also had false statements on the add and everything else this car has been nothing but trouble. I would like to turn him in he doesnt need to be selling anymore vehicles. No one else needs to get ripped off. So what are the Laws against doing what he did and where can I go to report him?

I have advertised my car for sale on a website and within a day I got a potential buyer asking if the car was still for sale and today this is what I have got back:

So everything is ok about the shipment,am ready to accept your price offer of 1000pounds, the last car l bougth was from a owner in dublin,and it was in perfect condition on arrival to my doorstep,l usually pay with a bankers Draft that will clear in your bank account,and immediately you have the money..l will contact the shipper to pick up the car,it so simple and convenient way for me,if you agree with the payment process ,please give me your address ,full names and telephone number so that i can send you the Bankers Draft for payment …soon.

Is this genuine or spam?

I sold a car but the guy has not payed me the rest of the money?

I sold this car about 2 weeks ago the guy payed me half and said he would give me the other half in 3 more days, its been 2 weeks and he calls almost everyother day telling me he would pay me the next day. I dont know what to do!!! I need my money, and he has my tittle but i have not signed it,also I heard he has the car for sale in craislist!

What is the legal age to buy a USED car in Mass for a private sale?

Some kid lied about his age and purchased a car from me…private sale….now his mother is calling me and wants to give the car back. I told her no. I used the money to pay my bills and I couldn’t take it back….her son LIED about his age….I need to know if anyone knows the legal age to buy a USED CAR from a PRIVATE SALE in the state of Massachusetts….Also if it is 18, how do 16 year olds have cars in their name with their own insurance?? If you are not 18 and you are not allowed to sign the title, then you cannot insure the car under your name, so how 16 year olds get cars in their name??

car boot sale with 6 month old?

we are going to do a car boot sale tomorrow, to get rid of a lot of stuff clogging up the house, but we have to be there for 7am. Reece us 6 months, obviously i ma going to bundle him up well, and he will be in the car most of the time, bar when i take him for a wee dander!
any more advice on what we should bring apart from the usual bottles nappies etc?
