If we have to pay the sales tax, it deson’t make any sense as the person who would have bought it first would have already paid sales tax on it

Internet sales tax in another state for restaurants?
October 19th, 2009 Posted by: admin
If I am a restaurant that now accepts online orders, would I have to charge sales tax if I get an order for a pizza to be delivered to a nearby state, even if it’s only 5 miles away? What if a person orders from my restaurant online from another state and decides to pick it up? Do I have to charge them sales tax then?

I was wondering where I would go to turn someone in for false statment on a Bill of Sale?
September 30th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I bought a car from this guy in Texas. On the Bill of Sale the guy put down that I traded in a vehicle which I didnt. He had written down the VIN number and all the information for the vehicle that I suppossedly traded in. I had paid 6890 for the car. The bill of Sale said I paid $6999 and he wrote I traded in for $6599. So I would only have to pay taxes on the difference. I told him I didnt want him to do that but he insisted so when I went to pay the sales tax I ended having to pay tax on the $6999. He also had false statements on the add and everything else this car has been nothing but trouble. I would like to turn him in he doesnt need to be selling anymore vehicles. No one else needs to get ripped off. So what are the Laws against doing what he did and where can I go to report him?

Can you help me figure out car taxes and other extra costs?
September 12th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I am about to graduate from college and I am wanting to purchase a car in the $13-16 grand price range. I am getting a loan from a bank with great rates by using bankrate.com. I am a Texas resident. I am buying online after test driving the car. How much can I expect to pay in fees including sales tax of the car, title, etc. Thanks for the help. Does anyone recommend buying in a different state to save money? I am basically wanting to know how much will I owe after the msrp cost of the car.

Sales tax on new car purchase with trade in?
September 7th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I just purchased a new car in Ohio and I live in Indiana. How should the taxes be worked on the deal? I thought if my trade in was $13,000 and the new car I purchased was $30,000 - I would pay taxes on $17,000.

how to avoid paying a high sales tax on a car bought from a private personal party?
August 22nd, 2009 Posted by: admin
the state where i live, Texas…requires that when re registering a vehicle in your name, that you bring the signed title and a bill of sale for the car, is there a way to myself lessen the shown amount the car was sold for on the bill of sale, like redo it, or do they have another way of proving what was paid for the car? is it just the bill of sale i printed an online template and filled in the blanks “price” and had him sign? or what do they use to calculate the 6.25% sales tax, to prove what was really exchanged for the car? please help, i bought the car, and i have like not 6.25% of what i paid for the car from this guy to go and give to the state, helppp.
No Comments-no cute little one liners or sarcastic remarks in your reply please, thanks.

I’m a non-resident buying a used car in California?
July 24th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I’m in Los Angeles for 2 years on a work visa and I’m buying a car outright to use while I’m here. The car I’m getting is a 2008 Audi TT Roadster priced at $35,980 from an Audi dealership.
Since I am a non-resident do I have to pay CA sales tax and if so, what else will I have to pay on top of the purchase price?
Also, will I have to have a CA driver’s license before I can buy the car and to register it etc.
